Althorp
Althorp is one of three glamping pods on our farm in Ravensthorpe. It’s just a pod, so it’s all open plan. There’s a double bed and a small double sofa bed, so it can sleep up to three, but it's a cosy space.
The pod has its own decking area with a table and chairs outside. You look out over fields. It’s quiet up here, one of the highest points in the county.
It’s a working farm. You’ll see sheep and probably hear tractors. You can walk straight from the pod into the little woodland or along the farm tracks. There’s a natural spring on the land that feeds the River Nene.
If you’re bringing horses, that’s no problem. There are individual paddocks behind each pod and plenty of hacking routes. The local riding school, JK Equestrian, uses the arena on the farm and does lessons.
Inside, it’s straightforward. A small kitchen area, a shower room, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Everything runs on electricity, which is all included. You can park right by the pod.
The nearest pub is about two and a half miles away in the village. You’ll need to drive.
For days out, you’re well placed. Althorp House is close by, as is Holdenby House. Silverstone Circuit is about a 25 minute drive. For walks and gardens, places like Northamptonshire's country parks or the National Trust properties nearby are good. Towcester racecourse is about 20 minutes away.
You can order extras like a BBQ pack with our own meat, or a breakfast hamper, if you let us know in advance.
No pets, I’m afraid. And the other two pods, Holdenby and Coton, are identical, so if you need more space you can book them together.
