Rose Cottage
Rose Cottage is in Holywell, near Kington, in Herefordshire. It's detached, so totally on its own. You get a bit of seclusion there.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bedroom is on the ground floor and the bathroom is ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and warm.
The garden is fully enclosed. There's a lawn and it looks out over an orchard. It's quiet.
There's a pub in the village, about a five minute walk. It's handy. For a bigger shop, Kington is a couple of miles away.
If you like walking, it's a good spot. Blakemere Wood is right there on the edge of the Golden Valley. The Offa's Dyke Path and the Herefordshire Trail are very close. There's a nature reserve, Flits, directly opposite the cottage. You can just wander in.
Within a half hour drive you can get to Hay-on-Wye. That's the book town. They've got the festival and lots of bookshops. Hereford is about ten miles. The cathedral and the Mappa Mundi are there. You've also got places like the Weir Garden, which is National Trust, and a few castles.
For things to do, you can go canoeing on the River Wye, or there's fishing and golf locally.
It's got parking. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
