Buryemwick is a cottage up on Jack Hill, above the Washburn Valley. It's on its own, not attached to anything else. The views look straight out over Swinsty Reservoir. It was built in the 1700s but we've done it up recently.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. That's useful with a group. One bedroom is on the ground floor. The stairs inside are normal, not too steep.
Outside, there's a garden with a patio, some decking, and a hot tub. You can see the reservoir from there. There's a barbecue. We've got a bike store you can lock and an outside tap for washing dogs off. We take two pets.
Inside, it's quite big. The kitchen is large and has a table everyone can fit around. There's a separate snug room with a wood burner for when it's cold. The games room has a bar billiards table and a dartboard.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well-finished. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and a highchair. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger.
You're right in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty here. For walks, you can go straight out the door. The reservoir path is just down the hill.
Harrogate is about nine miles away. That's where Betty's Tea Rooms and the Turkish Baths are. Otley is closer, about seven miles, for supermarkets. Ilkley is twelve miles for shops and cafes.
Two big nearby sights are Brimham Rocks, which is about eight or nine miles, and Fountains Abbey, about twelve miles. Both are within half an hour's drive.
