Brookleigh Farm Cottage is a detached house just outside Menston village. It's on a quiet lane. There's a training yard nearby, so you'll see racehorses being walked up and down the road most mornings. The garden is private and gets the sun.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The refurbishment is high spec, lots of vintage floor tiles and wood. It feels solid and clean.
You're a short walk from the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The back gate leads straight onto paths into the fields. For local walks, Yorkshire Dales National Park is your best resource.
The village has a couple of shops and a pub. Ilkley is about two miles away. That's where you'll find Bettys and most of the restaurants. The train station in Menston gets you to Leeds in about 20 minutes if you want a city day.
Bolton Abbey is a 20 minute drive. Skipton, with its castle and market, is about the same. Harewood House is 15 minutes away. Haworth, for the Brontë Parsonage, is around half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking, a wood burner, a dishwasher, washing machine, bike storage, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. We take one well-behaved dog.
