Owls Rest Askwith

Owls Rest is ours, it's in Askwith, just outside Otley. It's a small apartment for two people. It's detached, so you won't hear anyone else.

The place is a 4 Star, which means it's well looked after. It's clean and comfortable. It's all on two levels. You come in the front door and go up a few steps to the living area. That's where the kitchen, table, and sofa are. Then you go down a split-level staircase to the bedroom and bathroom. The stairs aren't steep, but they are proper cottage stairs, so just take care. The bed is a double and it's a good one.

Outside, there's a patio at the front and a smaller one out the back. The back one gets the morning sun. You'll see a lot of birds. We've got barn owls in the area, you might see one at dusk.

You can walk from the door straight into the fields. It's on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you want to drive, Ilkley is ten minutes one way and Otley is ten minutes the other. Ilkley has the Cow and Calf rocks and Betty's Tea Rooms. Otley is a proper market town with pubs and shops. Bolton Abbey is about a fifteen minute drive. Skipton, with the castle and market, is about twenty-five minutes.

For facilities: there's off-street parking for one car, bike storage, WiFi, a smart TV, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
