This is Humphrey-Basil Lodge in Norton Disney. It's a detached lodge, one of four on a farm estate. You're right in the middle of the countryside here, on about sixty acres of land. The view from the patio is just fields. It's very quiet.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The whole place is on one level, so there are no stairs. The doorways are wide and it's designed to be wheelchair accessible.
You've got your own garden area with a patio and a BBQ. There's a games room in a separate building that all the lodges share, which is handy if the weather turns. Inside, it's got what you'd need: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.
There's a pub about a mile and a half away that does food. The nearest shop is in Collingham, about three miles. For a bigger shop, you'd go into Lincoln or Newark.
Lincoln is about a twenty-minute drive. The cathedral is the main thing to see, and the castle. The Christmas market is busy but good if you don't mind crowds. Newark is in the other direction, maybe fifteen minutes. The showground there has big antique fairs. You can walk or cycle straight from the lodge onto some quiet country lanes.
If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: Visit Lincolnshire, Lincoln Cathedral, and English Heritage for the castle and other local places.
