Winston Lodge
Winston Lodge is on Birchdale Farm, near Norton Disney. It's a detached place, you get your own lodge.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating, that basically means it’s comfortable and well equipped.
Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. There are three other lodges on the same farm if you're coming with a bigger group.
You're on a farm with 60 acres. The view out the back is just fields. It’s quiet.
The lodge has its own patio and garden area with a BBQ. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and the WiFi is included. Towels and bedding are all provided.
You can take pets, up to four of them.
The local pub that does food is about a mile and a half away, in the village. For a proper shop you’d drive to Bassingham, about three miles.
Lincoln is a 20 minute drive. The cathedral is good, and you can walk down Steep Hill into the city centre. Newark is about 15 minutes the other way, the showground there does big antique fairs.
You can walk or cycle straight from the lodge onto the farm tracks and quiet lanes. If you want a day out, Sherwood Forest is roughly half an hour's drive.
