George Lodge
George Lodge is one of four detached lodges here. It's on a working family farm just outside Norton Disney in Lincolnshire. You've got 60 acres of fields to look at. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
The lodge is detached and you get your own patio area with a table, chairs, and a BBQ. It looks out over the fields. Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
There's also a shared games room on the farmyard with a pool table and table tennis, which is handy if the weather turns.
You can bring dogs. Up to four are allowed. The farm land is great for walks straight from the door.
The nearest pub that does food is about a mile and a half away. The closest shop for basics is three miles, in Bassingham.
Lincoln is about a 20 minute drive. The cathedral is amazing. You can walk down Steep Hill into the city centre for the shops and restaurants. Newark-on-Trent is about 15 minutes the other way. The showground there has big antique fairs.
For local walks and cycling routes, the Lincolnshire County Council countryside site has maps. For history, English Heritage looks after the Bishop's Palace in Lincoln.
