Oscar Lodge

Oscar Lodge is one of four lodges here at Birchdale. It's on a farm, about halfway between Lincoln and Newark. The place is detached, so it's just you and the garden. You get a nice view over the fields from the patio.

It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Everything is on one level, no stairs inside. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's modern and well-equipped. We're happy for you to bring up to two dogs. There's plenty of space for them to run around.

You're a bit out on your own here. The nearest pub with food is about a mile and a half away. For a bigger shop, you'll need to drive about three miles. That's the trade-off for the quiet.

Lincoln is the main draw. The cathedral and castle are up on the hill. It's a good day out. The Christmas market is very popular, so book well ahead if you're coming for that. Newark's about twenty minutes in the other direction. The showground there has big antique fairs. You can walk or cycle straight from the lodge onto the local paths.

For facilities: it has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You've got your own patio with a BBQ.
