Partridge Cottage is a bungalow in Kirklevington, a village outside Yarm. It's a modern build designed for holidays, so it's all on one level. That makes it good for accessibility or if you don't fancy stairs.
It sleeps six. There's a kingsize bedroom with its own shower room, a double room, and a twin room where the beds can be joined to make another kingsize if you ask in advance. There's also a main bathroom with a separate bath and shower. The whole place is spacious and comfortable.
The living area is open plan. The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. The Wi-Fi is decent. Outside, there's an enclosed garden with a patio, a barbecue, and a hot tub. There's an electric vehicle charger on the drive.
For kids, there's a separate, shared green space with a play area next door. You can bring up to two dogs. They've got a dog-friendly area on site as well.
The village has a pub and restaurant about half a mile away. Yarm is two miles away for shops and cafes. It's a nice little town.
For days out, you're in a good spot. The coast is about a 30 minute drive. Saltburn-by-the-Sea is good for surfing. Staithes and Whitby are a bit further. Inland, you've got Roseberry Topping for a walk with great views. Hamsterley Forest has mountain bike trails.
York, Harrogate, and the North York Moors are all within an hour's drive. The North York Moors National Park site is useful for planning walks. If you're heading to the coast, the National Trust Yorkshire page lists their properties nearby.
That's about it. It's a quiet, comfortable base that's easy to get around from.
