Glebe Farm Cottage
Glebe Farm Cottage is on our arable farm, just outside Hornby. It's a converted farmhouse from the 1850s. You get the whole place and garden to yourselves, and the views over the fields are good in every direction.
It sleeps seven in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not pristine. The kitchen is big and has an Aga, plus a normal oven. There's a wood burner in the main living room and an open fire in the second sitting room.
The garden is nice with a patio and a barbecue. There's also a spa on the grounds you can book into, but that's separate.
You're out in the country here. The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in the village. For a bigger shop, Northallerton is eight miles. It's a proper market town. Richmond is about twenty minutes drive. It's got a castle, a river, and good walks like the Coast to Coast path. Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North York Moors National Park are both within half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding is included. No pets, sorry.
