The Steading is in Camus Inas, a wee place west of Salen on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. It's a detached bungalow. You get your own bit of beach. The garden goes right down to the shore of Loch Sunart.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything is on one floor, which is useful.
The main room is all open plan. Big windows look straight out over the loch to the mountains. There's a wood burner for the cooler evenings. The kitchen has a large island. Off the kitchen there's a utility room and a separate gym space with a view.
The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath. You can see the loch from the bath. That bedroom also has a private balcony. There's another double room and a twin room, plus a separate shower room.
The garden is sizeable and enclosed. There's a patio by the house. A path leads down to a boardwalk that goes out to a point with a seating area. It's a good spot to sit with a drink.
You can launch small boats or kayaks from the beach. Moorings are available in the bay. Wildlife is common. We see seals, otters, and deer. Eagles are often overhead.
The nearest shop is about three miles away in Salen. The nearest pub and restaurant is about six miles. For a day out, the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse is at the very tip of the peninsula. Tobermory on Mull is a short boat trip away if you have your own vessel.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine and dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Pets are welcome, up to three.
