West Bothy

West Bothy is in Laga. It's a modern, detached place, built by two architects. The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over Loch Sunart towards the Morven hills. It's very quiet.

It sleeps three in two bedrooms. Attic bedrooms. One of them is a single, the other a double. One bathroom downstairs with a good shower. There's underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. You get bedding and towels.

The kitchen is open plan with a dishwasher and washing machine. The driveway is private, so you can park outside. There's a small patio.

The location is for getting away from it. You're five miles from the nearest shop at Salen, about seven from a pub at Acharacle. There's a ferry over to Tobermory on Mull from Kilchoan.

The whole Ardnamurchan peninsula is great to explore. Ardnamurchan Point lighthouse is out west. Sanna Bay is beautiful, white sand. You're likely to see wildlife. Red deer, otters, maybe eagles. Pine martens and badgers live nearby.

If you fancy a longer drive, Mallaig is under an hour away for ferries, and you can get across to Fort William or up towards Skye from there.
