Aisgill Farm Cottage is in Outhgill, at the very top end of the Eden Valley. It's a one bedroom place that sleeps two. It's part of a working beef and sheep farm, which means you get the fields and the views.
The cottage has been restored. Downstairs is stone floors, an electric log burner, and a farmhouse kitchen with an oil-fired Rayburn. The stairs are steep. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a shower room. Everything looks out over the river and fields.
There’s a large enclosed garden with furniture. It’s private.
It's quiet here. The nearest pub is about five miles away in Kirkby Stephen. The shop is there too, six miles away. You’ll need a car.
You can walk straight from the door onto the fells. The Howgill Fells are quieter than the main Lakes. If you want the bigger name parks, you're about halfway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Kirkby Stephen is the local town, with a few shops and cafes. They’ve got a heritage railway station on the Settle-Carlisle line there if that's of interest.
For facilities: it's got a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. No pets.
