Peggy's Barn is in Outhgill, up at the head of the Mallerstang Valley. It's a converted barn, detached. The views from up there are incredible, just open valley all the way down.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well done inside, comfortable and clean. The track up to it is about a quarter of a mile long and it is steep. You'd want a car that can handle that.
It is remote. The nearest pub is about four and a half miles away in Kirkby Stephen. Kirkby Stephen is your nearest proper place for shops, maybe a six mile drive. You need to plan your groceries.
Where it is good is for getting out. You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Lake District is maybe a 40 minute drive. The famous Settle to Carlisle railway line runs through the valley, you can hear the trains sometimes. Great for walking straight from the door.
Facilities are all there: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
