Southfield Cottage
Southfield Cottage is in Braunston. It's detached, down at the bottom of our place with its own garden. It looks out over a paddock and fields. It's quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one ensuite bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated but it's not massive, it's a cottage. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so a bit steeper than usual.
Inside, there's a living and dining room with a log burner. That opens into the kitchen. Upstairs is the bedroom. It's simple.
Outside, there's a patio with a barbecue. You can park right there. There's a place to store bikes if you bring them. We provide all the bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Pets are welcome, up to one dog.
The Grand Union Canal towpath is at the bottom of the paddock. You can walk straight onto it. It leads into the village in about ten minutes. Braunston has a few pubs that do food. There's also a shop, a post office, and a butcher.
If you drive, there's a lot nearby. The Grand Union Canal walks are right here. For canal history, the Stoke Bruene Canal Museum is about half an hour away. Silverstone Circuit is a 20 minute drive. Bletchley Park is about 40 minutes. We're near the borders of Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire, so you can explore a few counties easily.
