Strathclaggan
Strathclaggan is a house in Craigellachie. It's a detached place, so it's just you and the garden. The garden is big and fenced all around.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything is modern and works. The open plan living area downstairs is bright, with big doors out to the patio.
Upstairs, there's a landing with a small desk area if you need to work. The main bedroom is large and has its own dressing area and shower room. Two of the other bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill shower room between them.
Outside, there's a patio with a barbecue and a wood-fired hot tub. The garden is mostly lawn.
You're in Speyside here. The River Spey runs through it. It's known for whisky, fishing, and walking. There are dozens of distilleries nearby if that's your interest. For castles and history, Castles in North East Scotland is a good start. For walks, the Cairngorms National Park authority site has route ideas. The ski resort at Cairngorm Mountain is about a 40-minute drive.
Aberdeen is under an hour's drive if you need a city. Elgin is closer, about 25 minutes away.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and a highchair if you're bringing little ones. There's also a stairgate at the top. Sorry, no pets.
