Spey Cottage is in Aberlour, on the high street. It's a terraced cottage, one of a row. You're about fifty yards from a gate onto the Speyside Way path. It's good for walks or a bike ride.
The cottage sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable, not posh. The entrance is level and there's a ground floor loo, which is handy.
There's a shop and a couple of places to eat about three hundred yards away. The pub is decent. The Speyside Way runs right along the river if you want a proper walk. For a shorter one, Linn Falls is nice.
You're right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. Aviemore is under an hour's drive for the mountain stuff. In winter, you can get to the Lecht or Cairngorm ski slopes in about forty-five minutes.
This is whisky country. There are several distilleries you can visit within a ten or fifteen minute drive. The Malt Whisky Trail website has a map. The Walkers shortbread factory shop is here in the village too.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, WiFi, and parking for one car out the front. There's a small patio area. Bedding and towels are included.
