Haugh House

Haugh House is in Charlestown of Aberlour, on Speyside. It's a detached house, not overlooked. It sleeps ten.

It's got five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. You can bring two dogs.

The back garden has a gate straight out onto a path along the River Spey. It's a proper riverside walk. That path is part of the Speyside Way, so you can follow it for miles. It goes past a lot of the distilleries if that's your thing.

The village shops and a couple of places to eat are about a hundred yards away. You can walk to them. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Elgin. That's about 20 minutes. Elgin has the cathedral and that sort of thing.

If you want a beach, the Moray coast is about half an hour's drive. Lossiemouth is good. There are plenty of golf courses around too, within an hour.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The garden is enclosed. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've also got a cot and a stairgate if you need them.

For planning, the National Trust for Scotland in Moray has good local information, and VisitScotland's page on the Malt Whisky Trail is useful if you're planning visits.
