The Forge Adbaston

This one's called The Forge. It's one of five cottages on our working farm in Adbaston. The cottages are converted from old farm buildings around a courtyard.

It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

You're on a farm, so it's quiet. You'll see and hear the animals. You're welcome to walk around the fields and see them. There's a stream with a wooded bit you can picnic by. There's a patio garden with a barbecue.

Inside, it's got a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. There's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside.

The location is good for getting about. You're in Staffordshire but right near the Shropshire border. National Trust Shropshire has good local walk ideas. For a big day out, Alton Towers is about half an hour's drive. The Ironbridge Gorge museums are about the same. The RAF Cosford museum is very close if that's your thing. Shrewsbury town is within half an hour.

If you want activities closer by, there's coarse fishing on the farm. There are local places for golf and horse riding within five miles. The Shropshire Union Canal isn't far for a walk or a boat trip.

The nearest proper shops are in Eccleshall, about six miles away. It's a rural spot, so you'll need a car.
