Frodsham dates back to the 13th century and boasts many shops, pubs, restaurants and wine bars together with a popular weekly market. Ample walking is available straight from the door with the Bears Paw Hotel in the centre of the town marking the start of the 34-mile Sandstone Trail.
Towpath walks are available alongside the River Weaver, and you can also pick up the North Cheshire Way which stretches all the way from the Wirral right the way through to the Peak District. Frodsham Marshes are perfect for bird watchers, and for any golfers Frodsham Golf Club is open to non-members.
Frodsham train station provides a direct service to Chester in 20 minutes, Liverpool in 30 minutes or Manchester in an hour, and for families there’s an abundance of wonderful attractions in and around the area. These include Delamere Forest, Blue Planet Aquarium and the Crocky Trail, Chester Zoo, Chester Racecourse and Gulliver’s World Theme Park .
Finally, the stunning Welsh coastline, the Peak District National Park and the market towns and villages of Cheshire, Shropshire and the Wirral Peninsula are all within an hour’s touring distance. It really does make an ideal location with plenty to see and do nearby.
