The Boathouse : Waldringfield

It's called The Boathouse. It's right on the river Deben, next to the water in Waldringfield. It's a single storey building so everything's on one level, which is handy.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well looked after. The main thing is the view. The living room windows look straight out over the river. You get the sunset in the evenings. It changes all the time with the tide and the weather.

You can use our quay. If you've got canoes or paddle boards, you can launch from there when the tide is right. People fish from it too. There's a shared river terrace out the front if you just want to sit.

The pub is about 200 yards up the lane. They do food all day. There's a beach and a swimming area in the village as well, which is good on a warm day.

Woodbridge is about ten minutes by car. That's where the main shops are. For a bigger supermarket, Martlesham Heath is also about ten minutes away.

If you like walking, the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area path runs nearby. For days out, Aldeburgh and Southwold are on the coast, about half an hour's drive. Orford is a bit closer. Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo, and RSPB Minsmere are all within 30 minutes too if you're interested in that sort of thing.

What's there: a dishwasher, wifi, parking for one car, an outside area. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. No pets, I'm afraid.
