The Boathouse :
The Boathouse is in Waldringfield, right on the River Deben. It's a 4 Star place, so it's done up nicely. It sleeps two, in one bedroom and one bathroom.
The living area is all open-plan downstairs. Upstairs is the bedroom and a small balcony. You get a partial view of the river from there. The quay and the main river terrace are shared, but there's a designated parking spot for you off the shared driveway.
There are two pubs within a couple of minutes' walk. The Maybush is one of them, and if you stay here you get a card for a discount on food and drink there.
If you like walking or cycling, you're right on the river path. You can fish from the quay. There's a local beach just along from the property. For a bigger shop, Martlesham Heath is about ten minutes away by car.
Woodbridge is a short drive. It's a proper market town with everything you need. From here, you're well placed for the coast. Aldeburgh, Southwold and Orford are all within about half an hour's drive. National Trust Orford Ness is nearby too.
For history, you've got Framlingham Castle and Sutton Hoo close by. RSPB Minsmere is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
