Rhinabaich

Rhinabaich is a little piece of paradise set in the beautiful countryside near the village of Crathie in Royal Deeside. A perfect destination to shrug off the cares of working life, this is a brilliant family house with all home comforts and a few luxuries. A stand out feature is the combined living and dining area separated by a stunning double sided wood burner with wonderful views over the countryside. You will have an amazing holiday even if you do not set foot beyond the house and grounds just watching the river, mountains and wildlife from the garden or the living room with a glass of something nice, or maybe a warm Aberdeenshire buttery in hand.
But of course there is a plethora of activities to enjoy in this area of Scotland so loved by many including the Royal Family over the years. Superlative walking goes without saying, from Munro bagging to less challenging walks in the Glen Muick or Linn of Dee in Braemar . Wildlife is here in abundance, red deer, ospreys in summer, eagles, red squirrels and pine marten have all been regularly spotted. There are good opportunities for canoeing and mountain biking as well as skiing at the Lecht and Glenshee during the winter months. Rhinabaich is just 1 mile from the nearest pub, and 4 miles from Ballater, a pretty and vibrant local village which grew under Queen Victoria’s initial patronage, and is now a foodie heaven, with all the amenities of a small town, despite being small and unspoilt. Golf is available in Ballater itself as well as Braemar and Banchory, and the castles and gardens at Balmoral, Crathes and Craigievar are well worth a visit.
