The Arches is one of four barn conversions at Honies Farm, near a small village called Elston. It's a ten minute drive from Newark. The barns are arranged around a shared courtyard but you've got your own private patio area with outdoor furniture.
The barn sleeps seven across four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. The place has underfloor heating.
The main living area is open plan. It's got a kitchen, a dining table, and seating. There's a Smart TV so you can log into your own Netflix. The WiFi is decent.
It's on a working farm, so you'll see fields and animals. There are miles of footpaths and quiet lanes for walking or cycling right from the door. If you like fishing, there are local spots on the River Trent.
A shop and a pub are about three miles away. The pub in Farndon has a terrace overlooking the river.
Newark is five miles east. You can get boat trips on the Trent from there. Nottingham is about eighteen miles west, good for shopping or if you want to see a cricket match at Trent Bridge. Lincoln is twenty-three miles north, the cathedral is worth a visit.
For days out, Rutland Water is about forty minutes by car. Sherwood Forest is roughly half an hour away.
The facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, and on-site parking. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets allowed.
