The Wheat Store
The Wheat Store is a barn conversion on our farm on the edge of Elston. It's one of four here, all converted from old farm buildings. It's just off a country lane and looks out over fields.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and comfortable, with underfloor heating. It's open plan downstairs.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see and hear the usual farm things. There's a patio with a table if you want to sit outside.
For supplies, there's a shop and a pub in Farndon, about three miles away. The pub there is by the River Trent. Newark is about five miles. It's a proper market town with a castle and you can get boat trips on the river from there.
Nottingham is about half an hour's drive. Lincoln is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. Both are good for a day out. If you like walking or cycling, the lanes around here are quiet.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
