The Barley Store
The Barley Store is a converted barn in Elston, Nottinghamshire. It's part of a small group called Honies Farm Barns. You get your own bit of garden, which looks out onto fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is useful. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished - underfloor heating, that sort of thing. You can bring one dog.
The stairs are open-tread metal, which some people find a bit noisy. They're fine, but you notice them. The living area is all open plan.
It's a proper rural spot. You'll need a car. The village shop and the nearest pub are about three miles away, in Farndon. The pub by the river there is nice for a drink. For a bigger shop, Newark is ten minutes down the road.
Newark's got a castle and you can get boat trips on the Trent from there. Nottingham is about half an hour for shopping or cricket. Lincoln, with the cathedral, is maybe 40 minutes. If you like spas, Eden Hall Day Spa is nearby.
It's good for walking and cycling straight from the door. The farm has fishing ponds you can use. There's bike storage, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
