Waterside

Waterside is in Tighnabruaich, on the shore. It's a modern house, built right over the sea wall. It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy.

The balcony is a big one. It hangs out over the water when the tide’s in, so you’re right there looking across to Bute. The view is good. You get the sound of the water too.

The village is quiet. There’s a shop a couple of minutes walk away. A pub and a restaurant about the same distance. They’re fine for what you need.

Inside, it’s spacious. There’s a games room, which is good if the weather turns. You’ve got the normal things: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. The rating is 4 Star, so it’s comfortable and well equipped.

You can bring one dog. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.

For getting out, you’re right on the coast. You can launch a kayak from near the house. There’s good walking straight from the door. The area is known for wildlife: red squirrels, deer, otters, birds of prey.

A short drive takes you to Portavadie, where there’s a marina and a ferry over to Tarbert on the Kintyre peninsula. From there you can get ferries to Islay, Jura, or Arran. Loch Fyne is nearby.
