Waterside

Waterside is in Tighnabruaich, on the Argyll coast. It's a modern house, detached, built right over the sea wall.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is very spacious.

The main thing is the view. The living room and a big balcony look straight out over the Kyles of Bute. At high tide, the water is right underneath the balcony. You can see Bute and Arran across the water.

There's a games room. Parking. Washing machine, dishwasher, towels included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.

About the stairs. They are steep, spiral, and open. They are fine if you take your time, but they might not suit everyone.

The village is quiet. A shop is a couple of minutes' walk. A pub and a restaurant are about the same. The shore is basically on the doorstep.

You're in a good spot for getting out on the water, or for walking the coast. The area is known for wildlife. You might see otters, deer, or sea eagles.

A 30-minute drive gets you to Portavadie. There's a marina there and a ferry over to Tarbert on the Kintyre peninsula. From there you can explore or get ferries to Islay, Jura, or Arran.
