The Wheelhouse is a flat in Kirk Yetholm. It's on the ground floor, all on one level. It used to be the wheel room of the old mill here. So the ceiling is higher than you might expect, and you get a lot of light.
It sleeps two, one bedroom. The bedroom has its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept.
Outside, there's a private paved patio area that's just for this flat.
The villages here, Kirk Yetholm and Town Yetholm, are the official end point of the Pennine Way. So you see a lot of walkers finishing up. There's a pub about 150 yards away. They serve food.
Kelso is about six and a half miles away. It's a nice market town on the rivers. Has good shops and places to eat.
For getting out, you're right on the edge of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. The countryside is just there for walking or cycling. There are a few golf courses around. The coast, like Bamburgh and Holy Island, is about an hour's drive.
Facilities wise: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. No pets, sorry. And it's not really set up for children, given it's for two people.
