Lochside Garden House

Lochside Garden House is a big place over in Town Yetholm. It's part of a big Victorian house, but you get the whole side wing to yourselves. It looks out over its own garden to the loch and the hills. It's quiet.

It sleeps thirteen, which is a lot. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 3 Star, so it's clean and comfortable, not sleek or new. The owner lives in the other part of the house, but it's private.

The garden is south facing. There's a hot tub, a firepit, and badminton. You can walk around the farm and the woods from the gate. There's a treehouse with a rope bridge and a slide. It's quite high up, so it's for people who are steady on their feet.

Inside, it's full of books. There are thousands of them. There's a grand piano, two open fires, and a chest of toys. The kitchen has a big table and an electric range cooker. Furnishings are period style, so it feels like a family house.

You're right next to Yetholm Loch, which is a wildlife reserve. There's a boat you can use for rowing. You might see otters or ospreys.

The village of Yetholm is a couple of miles away. It has a couple of pubs, a shop, a butcher. Kelso is about seven miles for supermarkets. Edinburgh is an hour's drive, Alnwick Castle about the same. For walks, you're on the edge of the Cheviot hills.

The Snooker table is in a shared barn next door. There's also a swing and a trampoline on the lawn. Pets are welcome, up to four.

Facilities include all bedding and towels, washing machine, dishwasher, cots, highchair, WiFi, and parking. The heating is oil-fired.
