Deer Lodge is in Fenton, Cambridgeshire. It's one of four semi-detached lodges near a fishing lake on a working farm. We live on site too.
You must drive down a rough farm track to get here. It's fine for normal cars, you just have to take it slow. Once you're here, it's very quiet. The views are big, just fields and sky.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. They're doubles that can be set up as twins if you prefer. There's one shower room. The living area is open plan with French doors that open onto your own patio. You look out over the lake. There's a sofa bed in there if you need it.
The lodge has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. It has WiFi and a smart TV. Bedding and towels are included.
The main thing here is the fishing. You have your own platform right in front of the lodge. The lake has big carp. If you don't fish, it's still nice to sit and watch the water. There are footpaths around the farm if you want a walk.
You can bring one dog. They'll like the walks. Please keep them on a lead near the livestock.
There's a café and tackle shop on site. The nearest pub and village shop are about two miles away in Pidley. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to St Ives, which is about five miles. It's a nice town on the river. Cambridge is about a 25 minute drive. You can park at the park and ride. The historic centre and the colleges are worth a visit. Visit Cambridge has good information.
There is parking right by the lodge.
