Hare Lodge
Hare Lodge is on a working farm in Fenton. It's one of four lodges next to a private fishing lake. The owner lives on site, which is handy if you need anything.
The lodge sleeps five. Two bedrooms and a shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and clean inside. The main room is open plan, with French doors that open onto your own patio. You look right out over the lake. The view is good, especially in the morning.
If you're into fishing, you've got your own platform right outside. The lake has big carp. There's a café with a bar and a tackle shop on the farm itself.
It's very quiet here. There are footpaths all around the farm fields if you want a walk. It's a good spot for birdwatching too. You can bring one dog.
You need to drive down a rough farm track to get here. It's fine for normal cars, just take it slow.
The nearest pub and shop are about two miles away in Pidley. St Ives is five miles. It's a nice old town on the river, with places to eat and shops. You can get the guided bus from there into Cambridge, which takes about half an hour. Cambridge is the main thing to do round here. You can see the colleges, go punting, that sort of thing.
In the lodge, you've got Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, parking right outside, and all your bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need it.
