Badger Lodge Fenton

This is Badger Lodge. It's on our farm, near Fenton in Cambridgeshire. We live on site, but you've got your own place. It's detached, so no one sharing walls with you.

You'll need to drive down a farm track to get here. It's rough, so take it slow. The lodge looks out over a private fishing lake. The view is all fields and big sky. It's quiet.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. You can set them up as twins or doubles, just let us know. One shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.

Inside it's all open plan, with French doors to your patio. There's a smart TV, WiFi, and the sofa folds out into a bed if you need it. All bedding and towels are included.

If you fish, you've got your own platform right outside. The lake has carp, some decent sized. The on-site cafe has a licensed bar and sells tackle.

You can bring one dog. There are miles of footpaths and bridleways around the farm to walk. We've got a wetland area too, good for birdwatching.

The local village shop and pub are about two miles away. St Ives is five miles. It's a nice old town on the river, with shops and places to eat. You can get the guided bus from there into Cambridge, which takes about half an hour. Visit Cambridge has information on the colleges and punting.

For days out, National Trust East of England lists nearby houses and gardens. Wicken Fen nature reserve is about a 25 minute drive.

You've got a private, enclosed patio with furniture, and parking right by the lodge.
