Fearnmore Church is in Ardheslaig in Applecross. It really is a lovely spot.
It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a high quality finish inside, very comfortable.
The bedroom is a mezzanine up above the living room. You get up there via a spiral staircase. It’s sturdy, but it is a spiral staircase so watch your head. That’s the only way up.
The view from the living room is straight out over the croft to Loch Torridon and the mountains. You can spend a lot of time just looking out that window. There's an open fire for cooler nights.
You're on your own 21 acre croft. The land slopes down to the shore. It’s very secluded. You often see deer, and there are pine martens around. I’ve seen them from the kitchen window.
The kitchen itself is a good size, with a proper farmhouse table. All the usual things are there: dishwasher, washing machine.
The local single-track road is very quiet. Applecross village, which has a shop, a café, and the inn, is about ten miles away. The famous Bealach na Bà mountain pass is the route to get there, so drive carefully.
You are right on the coast for walks. There are beaches a few miles away, often empty. For bigger days out, Torridon is about 40 minutes by car. The Isle of Skye is roughly 90 minutes.
Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
