Coach House
The Coach House is in Ratho, a village just west of Edinburgh. It's a stone-built, detached place in our garden. It feels private because of the trees. There's a terrace that looks out towards the Union Canal, but you can't see the water fully because of the leaves. It's quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, with a woodburning stove for colder nights. The parking is right there.
Ratho has what you need. There's a pub about five minutes' walk away, which we run. Guests get 10% off. There's a village shop about half a mile. You can walk along the canal path from the village. For a trip on the canal itself, Canal Cruises are based here.
You're about 20 minutes by car from the centre of Edinburgh. Parking's easier out here, so most people drive to a park-and-ride. The Pentland Hills are even closer for walking. Glasgow, Stirling, or the coast are all under an hour if you want a day trip.
Inside, it's got the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot or highchair in if you ask. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is yours to use.
