This is Forth Reflections in Queensferry. It's a one-bedroom flat that sleeps four, so it's best suited for a couple, maybe with two children. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable and the views are the main thing.
The property is in a historic townhouse building from the early 1800s. It's detached, but attached to the main building if that makes sense. It's central and up high, so you get a clear view straight out over the Firth of Forth. You can see both bridges and the hills in Fife beyond. People usually like that.
You're right in the middle of the town. The beach is about 50 yards away. The nearest pub or restaurant is 150 yards. There's a shop 250 yards up the road. You can walk to everything.
The stairs inside are steep. They're open tread and a bit narrow. It's an old building, so that's how it is.
From the front door, you can walk down to Hawes Pier in a few minutes. You can get boat trips from there out to Inchcolm Island. There's also a good forest walk along the shore. Port Edgar Marina is close if you're into sailing or watersports.
If you want to drive out, Edinburgh city centre is about 20 minutes away. The Hopetoun House estate is about 10 minutes by car. You can be in the Pentland Hills for walking in roughly half an hour. The Forth Bridges themselves are a sight, and you can walk across the road bridge if you like.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
