Beech Cottage St Catherines

Beech Cottage is right on the side of Loch Fyne. The water is about twenty yards from the front door. It's detached, so no neighbours attached. It's a small place but it feels bigger because of the view.

It sleeps four. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 3 Star, which is about right. It's clean and comfortable, but it's an older cottage, not a modern showhome. Everything works. It's got electric central heating and a woodburner if you want it. We only use green electricity and we leave eco-friendly cleaning stuff for you.

The main thing is the loch. You can see it from the sitting room, the main bedroom, and the front garden. You get seals out there, otters sometimes, and plenty of birds. There's a rough track down to the cottage. It's fine for normal cars, just go slowly.

You're a bit out on your own. The nearest town is Inveraray, which is about a twenty-five minute drive along the lochside. They've got a Co-op for groceries. There are a couple of places to eat nearby. The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is about five miles south. Inveraray has The George and a few others.

If you want to go out, Inveraray Castle is worth seeing. Forestry and Land Scotland manages a lot of the local walks. Benmore Botanic Garden is about half an hour away. You're right on the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park too, for bigger walks and cycle paths.

Facilities wise: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. The garden is yours to use. One well-behaved dog is welcome. All bedding and towels are included.
