Garden Cottage is a stone cottage in Strachur, Argyll. It's detached, Victorian, and sits in its own walled garden. You get the whole garden to yourselves.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is fine. It means it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious.
You need to know about the track. The cottage is on what used to be a big estate, Strachur Park. To get to it, you drive about 250 yards from the village down a farm track. It's a bit rough, so take it slow. It leads through some big old trees straight to your place.
The rooms are light. All the windows look out over fields and parkland. It's very quiet.
Strachur village is a short walk away. There's a shop and a post office, a petrol station, and two pubs. The estate itself has woodland walks you can use. There's a small river and a lochan, which is like a little lake, good for a picnic.
For a bigger town, Dunoon is about half an hour's drive. Inveraray is closer, maybe 20 minutes. That's where Inveraray Castle is. Loch Fyne is right there, famous for seafood.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking.
