Garden Cottage Strachur

Garden Cottage is a Victorian stone cottage on the Strachur Park estate. It's detached and sits in its own enclosed garden. You get it to yourselves.

It's down a rough farm track, about 250 yards from the village road. It's not tarmac, it's a proper track, so take it slow. Once you're down there, it's very quiet. The views from the windows are all over fields and parkland.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works. It's clean and comfortable, not high-end. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. We accept up to two pets. There's parking right outside the cottage.

The village of Strachur is a short walk back up the track. There's a shop, a petrol station, and two pubs. Dunoon is about half an hour's drive for bigger supermarkets and things.

The estate itself is good for walks. There's woodland paths and a small river. You're right on the edge of Loch Fyne here. Inveraray is about a 20 minute drive south, with the castle and more places to eat.

For a proper day out, you've got the Benmore Botanic Garden near Dunoon, or Inveraray Castle. The whole Loch Fyne area is good for driving around or stopping for seafood.

Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi included. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a BBQ you can use.
