Tigh An Uillt is in Strachur, right by Loch Fyne. It’s a detached cottage. You look out over the water and the hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean. The main thing is the view from the big windows. It’s sunny.
Strachur has what you need. There’s a village shop and post office with a tea room, and a hotel pub that does meals. Both are a short walk. There’s also a filling station that sells logs for the wood burner.
You’re between the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and the Argyll Forest. If you’ve got a kayak or a small boat, there’s a slipway nearby. You can get to Inveraray in about 20 minutes. Oban and Glencoe are a bit over an hour’s drive for a day out.
For a trip, you can take the short ferry from Colintraive over to the Isle of Bute. They’ve got beaches, Rothesay Castle, and Mount Stuart house.
Inside, it’s straightforward. Comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area, and the wood burner. There’s a TV, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site.
