Tigh An Uillt is in Strachur, right on the shore of Loch Fyne. It’s a detached cottage. The main thing is the view. Big windows face south and west over the loch to the mountains. It’s very light.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. Comfortable beds. There’s a wood burning stove in the lounge, which is good for cooler evenings. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
You can walk to the village. There’s a hotel that does meals, a well-stocked shop with a post office, and a filling station that sells logs for the fire. The village has tennis courts too.
There’s a slipway just along from the cottage if you want to launch a kayak or a small boat. The area is quiet. You’re between the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and the Argyll Forest Park. Wildlife is common.
Inveraray is the closest town. Oban and Glencoe are about an hour’s drive for a day out. You can get a short ferry from Colintraive over to the Isle of Bute for beaches and Mount Stuart. For gardens, Benmore is spectacular and not far.
Outside, there’s a patio garden with a BBQ and on-site parking. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets.
