Take a stroll along the sea front, sample the fish and chips and enjoy entertainment throughout the year at its famous bandstand. A little further afield is Margate with its renowned Turner Centre and Dreamland, and Broadstairs with Viking Bay plus plenty of golf courses to choose from. A day trip to Canterbury is a must with its dominant cathedral and city walls, boutique shops for a spot of retail therapy or sample the local ales in one of the many bars.
