Bryn Salem
Bryn Salem is a detached cottage in Cwm Cewydd, near Machynlleth. It's next to our house and another property we rent out, but you've got your own garden. The views are good, looking out over the fields.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms and a shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It's not overly fancy, just done well.
You've got a proper patio with a built-in barbecue area and a hot tub. The courtyard garden is fully enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. We've even put a tap out there to wash off muddy paws or bike wheels.
The location is good for Snowdonia without being right in the thick of it. Machynlleth is about ten minutes away by car for shops and pubs. Dolgellau is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes. Both are proper market towns.
For walking, you can start right from the cottage gate onto local paths. For bigger days, Cader Idris is within half an hour's drive. The coast at Aberdyfi is about forty minutes away if you fancy the beach.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking is right there.
