Ysgoldy Salem is a cottage near Cwm Cewydd, up a lane off the A487. It used to be the village Sunday school and reading rooms. It's detached, with the owner’s house next door. You get your own garden and patio. The views are over fields towards the hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's been done to a high spec. It's open plan downstairs. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The stairs are okay, but they're cottage stairs, so a bit steeper and narrower than a modern house.
There's a hot tub on the patio. It's a proper one, not a plastic tub. You get that view while you're in it.
The local shop and pub are about a mile down the road in the village. They're good. For a bigger shop, Machynlleth is about 15 minutes drive one way and Dolgellau is about 20 minutes the other. Both are proper market towns.
You're right on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. You can walk straight from the door onto paths. For a big day out, Cader Idris is about half an hour by car. The coast at Aberdyfi and Barmouth is about 40 minutes. They have good beaches.
It has WiFi and a TV. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. Sorry, no pets.
