Meadowsweet Cottage
Meadowsweet Cottage is in Swardeston, about five miles south of Norwich. It's one of two semi-detached cottages that are joined together. You get your own garden and patio, which looks south over a valley. No other houses in the way. On a clear night, the stars are really good.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. There's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. Each cottage has its own hot tub and sauna out the back.
The village has a bakery for bread and cakes. There's a pub that does food about a mile away. You can walk from the doorstep on footpaths and quiet lanes, no need to drive. Swardeston Common is popular for walks and there's a cricket pitch there.
Norwich is a twenty minute drive. It's got the cathedral, good shopping, and the castle museum. Useful link for planning: Visit Norwich.
If you want the coast, Winterton-on-Sea is about an hour's drive. It's a sandy beach with dunes. The Norfolk Broads are closer, maybe half an hour to Wroxham where you can hire boats. For a nature day out, Pensthorpe is about half an hour away.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
The cottage next door, Cowslip, is identical. You can book both together if you need more space for a bigger group.
