Cowslip Cottage is in Swardeston, just south of Norwich. It’s one of a pair, semi-detached with Meadowsweet Cottage next door. You’ve got your own garden and patio, and it looks out over a valley. No houses in the way so it’s quiet, and on a clear night the stars are really good.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It’s a 5 Star place, so it’s well finished. There’s underfloor heating, a wood burner, and the main things like a dishwasher and washing machine. Each cottage has its own hot tub and sauna in a private hut out the back.
The stairs are fine, not too steep. We’ve got a cot and highchair here if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door on quiet lanes. The village common is nice for a stroll. There’s a pub that does food about a mile away, and a farm shop for vegetables. The city centre of Norwich is about a fifteen minute drive. It’s got everything: the cathedral, shops, the castle museum, and plenty of places to eat.
If you fancy a trip out, the Norfolk Broads are about half an hour’s drive. You can hire a boat at Wroxham. The north Norfolk coast, with places like Winterton-on-Sea, is about forty minutes. The beaches there are sandy with dunes.
