Rockworks Chalets No.3

Rockworks Chalets No.3 is on the east coast of Orkney’s main island, St Mary's. It’s one of a row of chalets right by the water, overlooking Scapa Flow. You can see the Italian Chapel from the window.

It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star, so it’s modern and comfortable. The main room is open plan. The big window makes it bright, even when the weather’s not great. The kitchen has what you need. The shower is good.

There’s a cafe and gallery right next door. The nearest shop is a short drive away in St Mary's. For a pub or restaurant, you’d drive to Kirkwall, which is about five miles.

The location is the main thing. You’re close to a lot. The Churchill Barriers are basically outside. Kirkwall is ten minutes by car, with St Magnus Cathedral. The Neolithic sites like the Ring of Brodgar and Stenness stones are about a twenty minute drive. Stromness, the harbour town, is about twenty five minutes.

For walking, the west coast is stunning. Yesnaby is fantastic, and you can get the ferry to Hoy for the Old Man of Hoy. The Orkney tourism site has good details on all of that. For the historical side, Historic Environment Scotland manages the Neolithic sites.

In terms of what’s here: there’s parking, the patio is yours, WiFi and a smart TV are included, as is bedding. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
