Rockworks Chalets No.2

This is Rockworks Chalets, number two. It's a semi-detached chalet in St Mary's on Orkney Mainland. It looks straight out at Scapa Flow. You can see the Italian Chapel from the window.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern inside. The main room is all open plan, so the kitchen, dining and living area are together. That's where the best view is. The bedrooms are down the hallway.

There's a cafe and gallery right next door. The nearest shop is about half a mile away. For a pub or restaurant, you'd need to drive about five miles into Kirkwall.

You're well placed for getting to the main sights. The Churchill Barriers are just there, you can see them from the chalet. Kirkwall, with St Magnus Cathedral, is a short drive. The Neolithic sites like the Ring of Brodgar and the Standing Stones are about a twenty minute drive, so you can easily get there for sunrise or sunset.

Stromness is a lovely harbour town, worth a visit. For walking, the west coast cliffs at Yesnaby are spectacular. You can get the ferry to Hoy to see the Old Man of Hoy.

Facilities: There's parking right outside. WiFi, a TV, bedding and towels are all included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. There's a patio area with garden furniture. No pets.

You can book this chalet with the others next door if you've got a bigger group.
