Birch Cottage is near Rosehall, in the Highlands. It's one of two cottages converted from old farm buildings. The main reason you'd want it is the view. It looks right over the River Cassley, which is a well known salmon river. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's comfortable and clean. The living area is open plan with a wood burner in the corner. The kitchen is fine for holiday cooking.
The garden is a large lawned area. It's shared with the other cottage but it's fully enclosed. There are picnic tables out there.
This place is really set up for fishing. The estate has fishing rights on the river, about two and a half miles of it. You need to sort licences out beforehand by contacting the estate directly. There's also a small loch behind the cottages for practice. They've got a fishermen's hut for taking a break.
If you're not fishing, it's a good spot for seeing the area. Ullapool is about 45 minutes drive west, through some great scenery. Going east, places like Dornoch have good beaches and golf courses.
There's a pub that does food about three quarters of a mile away. The nearest shop is in Rosehall, which is 11 miles.
It has the usual things: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs. Parking is on site.
