March Cottage

March Cottage is in Rosehall, up in the Scottish Highlands. It's deep in a glen, about four miles down a single-track road that follows the River Cassley. You'll see the river from the garden. It's very quiet up there.

It's a detached cottage that sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's in good order. The main room upstairs has an en-suite.

Downstairs, the living room has a wood-burning stove and big windows looking out to the river. The kitchen and dining area is open plan, with French doors that open straight onto the garden. The views are all hills and water.

You'll see a lot of wildlife. Deer come down to the riverbank. You might see an osprey or eagles if you look up. Pine martens are around too, they sometimes come into the garden.

The River Cassley is a salmon river. I don't own the fishing rights, but you can book a beat through Fishpal if that's your thing. There are good walks straight from the door, up into the hills.

The nearest pub that does food is about four miles back up the road in Rosehall. The closest shop is 14 miles away in Lairg, so you'll want to bring your supplies with you.

The west coast, places like Lochinver and Ullapool, is under an hour's drive for amazing beaches and scenery. Inverness is about the same distance in the other direction if you need a city.

For facilities, it's all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
