March Cottage

March Cottage is in Rosehall, in the Highlands. It's a detached house on its own. It’s four miles down a single-track road into the glen, right next to the River Cassley. It's very quiet.

The house sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, so there's enough space for everyone. It's a 4 Star and has a Green Tourism Award, which means it's comfortable and tries to be efficient. It’s warm.

The main room is open-plan, kitchen and dining together. French doors go out to the garden. The living room has a wood-burning stove and looks out over the river. People often see deer on the opposite bank. You might see an osprey or eagles.

The fishing on the river is for salmon. We don't own the rights, but you can book a day through Fishpal if you look for the Glencassley beat.

You can walk straight from the door. The pub and restaurant are about four miles back up the road in Rosehall. The nearest shop is in Lairg, 14 miles away, so you need to come with supplies.

The west coast, places like Scourie and Lochinver, is under an hour’s drive. Inverness is about the same in the other direction.

Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
