The Long House is near Steeple Aston in Oxfordshire. It's a detached place, so you're not sharing walls with anyone. The garden is enclosed and quite big. There's a seating area at the bottom, tucked in behind some shrubs.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, which is useful if you don't want to use the stairs. One of those has its own en-suite. The other two bedrooms are upstairs, again with one en-suite. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main living room is large and has windows at both ends. It looks out over the fields at the back. There's a wood burner for colder evenings. The kitchen door leads straight out into the garden.
You're in a hamlet, so it's quiet. The proper village of Steeple Aston is about a mile away. It has a shop, a post office, and a pub. The pub serves food.
For days out, Blenheim Palace is about eight miles. They put on events all through the year. The city of Oxford is within a thirty minute drive. It's obviously famous for the university buildings, but the Westgate shopping centre is there too if you need it.
Bicester Village outlet shopping is also about eight miles away, if that's your sort of thing. You're near the edge of the Cotswolds, so there are plenty of nice drives and walks from the door. The Cotswolds National Landscape website has good information on walking routes.
In terms of what's here, the list is mostly accurate. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking for a few cars. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's a BBQ and a highchair if you need one.
