The Hayloft

The Hayloft is a barn conversion near the village of Aynho. It's one of two next to each other, The Hayloft and The Stalls. You're on the edge of the Cotswolds here, in Northamptonshire countryside. It’s quiet.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s a 5 Star place, which means it’s comfortable and well finished. Wood floors, a wood burning stove. It’s spacious, but still feels cosy when you light the fire.

There’s a pub that does food about a mile away in Aynho. The village is known for apricot trees growing on the old house walls. The local shop is in the next village, about three miles.

For walking, the area is good. Plenty of footpaths and bridleways right from the door. You can do a proper circular walk without using the car.

Banbury is close for supermarkets and things. For a nicer market town, Deddington is about ten minutes drive. Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh are a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes. They have the classic Cotswold high streets with tea shops.

Within half an hour you’ve got a few options. Blenheim Palace at Woodstock is that way. Silverstone racing circuit is about twenty minutes the other direction. Bicester Village shopping outlet is also around twenty minutes, if that’s your sort of thing.

Further out, but still doable for a day trip, you’ve got Oxford, Warwick, or Stratford-upon-Avon. They’re all within about forty five minutes to an hour’s drive. Trains to London from Banbury or Bicester North are fast if you don’t want to drive.

The place has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and TV. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You get your own garden with it, and parking right outside.
