The Hen House is in Cotebrook, hidden up our drive behind our place. It's a single storey stone building that used to house chickens. We did it up a few years ago.
It's for two people. One big room with the bed, kitchenette and sitting area in it, and an en-suite wet room. The doorway is level and it's all on one floor, so it's accessible. It's got a 4 Star rating so everything's in good order.
You've got your own little paved spot outside with a table and chairs. It's quiet, just fields out the back.
There are two pubs in the village, both about a 15 minute walk away. The Shire Horse Centre is a five minute walk up the road. A really good farm shop with a cafe is a five minute drive. Tarporley village is two miles away, it's got shops and a few more places to eat.
For a day out, Delamere Forest is about 20 minutes by car. Good for walking and cycling. Oulton Park racing circuit is five minutes away if that's your thing. Chester is half an hour's drive. It's got the Roman walls, the cathedral, the usual things. National Trust Cheshire has a list of their places nearby, like Lyme Park.
What's here: there's parking right outside, a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. The heating's electric and included. No pets, sorry.
